The phoenix featured on this garment originates from the full sleeve composition of Origin Piece I — Marked Sleeves.
Drawn in reference to Japanese tattoo iconography, the phoenix is constructed through layered feather structures, directional flow, and controlled symmetry. The composition emphasizes ascent — wings expanding outward while the body remains centered and grounded.
In the original work, the phoenix was hand-painted directly onto leather.
This garment translates that composition into print while preserving the movement and density of the original linework.
